We were scattered, felt abandoned
Isolated in our homes
Retreated to protect the ones we love
Sunday morning on the sofa watching 'church' on the the TV
Separated and frustrated, afraid

For the church is not a building, not a sermon or a song
But a body where we know that we belong
When we couldn't meet each other we were anxious and dismayed
Disconnected and dejected, we prayed

You were faithful when were faithful
You were strong when we felt weak
You were our comfort in the darkness
The voice that calmed our fears

May we never take for granted the fellowship we share
May the bonds that bind us keep us in His love
As we gather in His presence, the family of God
Reunited, undivided
